A young American Hip-Hop Recording Artist from Jersey City, New Jersey with a mastermind. Born on July 29, 1993, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Darryl Di’ Quan, better known as “Pressure” grew up in Curries Woods Housing Projects, also known as “Da Woods”. Growing up with a single mother was a constant day to day challenge in his household. Although his challenges, this only made Pressure more motivated. Pressure was inspired by many musicians while growing up such as Joe Budden, 50 Cent, Fabolous, Jay-Z, Drake, Rakim and Juelz Santana. Motivated by the Hip-Hop and R&B legacy era, he began writing at the age of nine with poetry and by the time he reached eleven, he wrote his first rap song. At the age of 14, Pressure was introduced to the Entertainment Industry by Multi-platinum producers “Dream Team”

Through a friend of his mother Richard “Big Sing” Singletary, his music landed in the hands of Jersey City’s own production duo The Dream Team (Produced for 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Keyshia Cole, etc…). Together they have been working on his debut album, mixtape series entitled “Apply That Pressure”, and Pressure’s Online Music Videos directed and filmed by Now Is The Time Productions. As a sophomore in Henry Snyder High School he was an exceptional student and was heavily involved in the media arts program.

 

Also, he has made several appearances at The Time Square Art Center, 201 The Movement Tour and even opened up for two of the Greatest Oldies groups ever “Blue Magic and Black Ivory”. Appeared on a new Hip Hop TV Show Pilot Rappers Delight, UBATV.COM‘s Street Heat Video Show, and online radio shows like 97.5 FM Elite Radio, 15 Minutes Of Fame Radio and Show Me The Money Radio. Besides Rap, he has also starred in 2 short films The Big Payback & Rush and 2 Tv Shows called The 2-2 , and S.M.A.S.H (executive produced by Steven Spielberg on NBC).Pressures talents doesn’t stop there, he is an amazing graphic designer that designs and develops his own CD artwork, and has now began recording, mixing and producing his own music and videos.
