Fun Making Music Registration

J4S (Just for Singers) in conjunction with Purfek Music/Talent is sponsoring a vocal music program for developing professionals and stay-at-home parents.  The classes are specifically designed for budding professionals, working (union) actors, dancers, singers and recording artists, stay-at-home-parents and Broadway-bound children.

Healthy organic singing begins with creating an awareness of using the body as your instrument.  Participants will have an opportunity to study the fundamentals of music and singing in a structured, yet informal class setting.  Keeping true to our mantra, “Speak and Sing Your Way to Success,” J4S will teach artists to do just that:  to speak and sing their way to success!  Joyce will teach you the components of singing:  relaxation, breathing, phonation, enunciation, and placement.   Students will discover the role that each component plays in speech and singing.   Concisely, Joyce will show you how to sing with expression, without straining and inhibition like your favorite idols.  Sing like no one is listening all the time!

Class offerings range from tots to adults.  For tots and elementary age children, the objective is to cultivate children’s interest in participating in the performing arts, as well as to provide parents opportunity to discover hidden talents and to nurture their children’s love for performance.  Classes for young adults are designed to help hone and augment performance skills, to keep them sharp and always ready to perform!  Classes are structured to provide an affordable means by which promising professionals can acquire skills not offered in standard school curricula, as well as polish already-acquired skills, particularly with regard to fundamentals of music theory and healthy vocal technique.  By participating in our classes, young aspiring artists won’t have to bluff or guess their way through auditions; we provide them with the tools to become the professionals of their dreams!

Register early.  Class size is limited and will fill quickly.  Classes begin September 9th and 10th, 2014.

We look forward to making your acquaintance and discovering the inner-diva and artiste in you and your child.

Making Music is Fun!
